Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) is the leading event venue in the Middle East. Driven by a dynamic economy and the imminent Expo 2020 Dubai, DWTC expects tremendous growth over the next few years across both trade and consumer sectors.

To realize this grow, DWTC is targeting to operationalize additional event space of 16,500m2 and upgrading its product and services to compete against leading global exhibition and convention centers.

The visitor mix to DWTC comprise trade visitors, exhibitors, event organizers, delegates, dignitaries, visitors to private and public events, event support teams, DWTC tenants and DWTC staff.

SOLUTION

To enhance the ‘all day visitor experience’ ODG was tasked with the revamp of all the outlets and was asked to do so with several criteria in mind: a modern and fresh design, product selection to be simple and standardized across all outlets – with focus on quality, high margin and high turnover; operating guidelines to be clear and standardized to facilitate growth and expansion and competitive pricing.

RESULT

The first two refurbished outlets, launched in April 2016, have both experienced a 30% increase in revenue.
